I went to the doctor yesterday for a very slight breathing issue. felt like I was breathing around a balloon inside my chest for about 3 hours and I felt itchy in my chest. I guess that was inflammaton of brochial tubes. I have been coughing badly also. Should I even bother taking this stuff? Wouldn't just an antibiotic clear everything? I am mostly concerned because of all the bad press for prednisone. Is 5 days at 40 mg daily worth it?

I think I have bronchitis. I woke up on Thursday coughing hard (but they were dry coughs). I have had small grade fevers, my chest is sore feeling and tight and it gets worse as I cough. Yesterday the coughs started producing some septum that is thick and yellowish in color.
Does anyone know if this truly is bronchitis and can I treat it at home? I have no health insurance, so I'd hate to go see a doctor unless it's necessary.

Do they cause cancer?

I have very bad air where I live. Also, dust and mold allergies. Anything that can get rid of those things would be great. Thanks.
