+ Call the pharmacist that you got it from they should be able to tell you when you should not use it anymore.

I have a bee stinger kit and even if it is expired I can still use it as long as the solution does not turn yellow.

But every medicine is different so just call the pharmacy or your doctor to find out if you can still use it.

If it is expired it will just not work or work as well.

What is the brand? You could look it up on-line, Find the manufacturer for it and ask them.

The FDA has mandated the expiration date on a medication be when there is 90% of the active ingredient still left. The medication will still work, but to a lesser extent.

Some medications like epi-pens and nitroglycerin it is very important that you follow the expiration dates.

Most meds are safe for a few months after expiration

But some are less effective

A presription is only valid for one year

No. My doctor told me you can use them up to a month after they expire.

It would be better not to use it but it won't harm you. There may be a slight loss of effectiveness but if the choice is not having an inhaler or using this one, use it
