My 3 year old is going to have a tonsillectomy in a week. I had told my doctor that he was snoring at night and so he looked at him and said his tonsils are large. Since then his snoring has subsided. As for my son he does not talk well yet and is being evaluated for autism. I'm also worried about him becoming dehydrated, and the surgery center says he must go home 1 hour after surgery. Should I just wait it out? This doctor does many of these surgeries a week and I'm thinking he's not really thinking about what is best for my child.

or for that matter, nothing over the counter-for more than a little while. I've tried home remedies that I know of like hot tea and lemon but nothing is working. Does anyone know of a great cough remedy? It has been over 3 weeks now!
Thanks

I have a tight throat sensation in the bottom part of my throat, in between my clavicle. When I move my head a certain way I will gag like I'm being choked. What is that??? It doesn't feel like I swallowed anything, just as though the airway is being restricted.

My sister has had three asthma attacks well supposedly in a week. The thing is she's never in her life had asthma, she has been sick with a cold. Do you guys think that what they were is Breathing Attacks? Her doctors aren't very educated so, they wouldn't know. But is there even a such thing as Breathing Attacks? And do you think she has asthma? Or was it just cold in her chest?

So I went to pick up my inhaler at the pharmacy on Friday, only to find out that the makers of Albuterol have switched to the new environmentally friendly (no CFCs) version of the drug. That's fine and dandy (although I seriously doubt that it will make much of a difference). Well, it TRIPLED THE PRICE! And that's WITH insurance!! I need to know if anybody else out there knows of a different inhaler that I can request my doctor switch me to that isn't so rediculously expensive. I read on about.com that they will most likely be banning all CFC-containing inhalers, but somebody has GOT to be making an affordable version! This is just assinine!
