this isnt a chest infection its something that only men get its called 'man flu' and there is not alot you can do to make it better, they just go to bed and feel sorry for themselves for days!! lol.

The traditional methods of medication, plus lot of rest. Warm liquids (tea, coffee, soups, etc.) usually work with me, but I haven't tried inhaling steam. It might work though. Try it...

Best cough medicine I've tried is Covonia. Try 2 teaspoons of that mixed in with a little hot water (about 6 teaspoons, as I recall). It works really well, and the menthol vapours really clear his chest.

BTW, man flu is a myth. It has no grounds and is just a stupid way for men to gain some superiority over women by having some "incurable" disease that women can't get. It shows that women are (finally) gaining power in this world......

the best thing is to have him inhale steam and put some vicks in it. ive just got over the same thing and had a terrible time-my chest felt so tight, and i could not get a breath. just keep the water hot and put a towel over his head. or if you have a shower when he gets in it tell him to breathe the steam as he washes.

i hope he feels better soon.

plenty of rest , fluids, warmth. when he wants to sleep prop up a couple of pillows behind him so he can breathe a bit better. if he gets worse demand an emergency appointment at your gp. failing that phone up casualty department at your local hospital.
