There was short breathness, weezing, liitle chest pain for a day. My Family doctor did some tests like exray, blood etc and thought it was asma and gave me puffer blue, and some anti ot finished biotics. The day my medicnes got finished it startted all over again.I tried another doctor he again gave puffer blue and added orange puffer with some more antibiotics .As earlier it started again after finishing my medicines. Then finally i had to rush to emegency were Dr again felt it might be asma and gave a strong puffer and gave medicine with steriods that open lungs for 4 weeks and fixed my appt. with Respr. Specialist . On 14th feb I had an appt, with specialist he did some inital asma test and concluded it was not asma it would havse been some viral and now i am absolutely perfect and i can stop all medicines. With these medicines mostly steriod called predisnone my face was swollen , my bp is increased and i feel dizzy. I have asthma and am allergic to ciagarette smoke. I live in an apartment complex and the family that moved in next to me smokes in their home (regardless of the fact that they have three small children). Since our ovens share a wall the smoke gets into my apartmet, which causes me to have frequent asthma attacks. I've talked to the landlord and she told me to get air fresheners. Do I have any rights to a healthy living environment? What can I do about this?

I can already see all the people who are going to say: asthma is not curable it is only controlable, that's what my doctor said, that's what the t.v. said, that's what other people say sorry!

I can only imagine all the funny, funny answers I am going to get!
If that is what you all think then that is all you will get, nothing!

There has got to be one person out there that believes asthma and allergies are curable! All autoimmune disease is curable.
Not just controlable like all these nimwits believe.
Waiting for a majic bullet? Sorry you will not find that here. There is a way though, do you dare to do it?
I did not think so!
I had allergic asthma for 3 years and it is gone! Never to come back.
No i am not talking about surgery, that does not help, I am not talking about getting you sinus burnt out dummy!

There it is: What do you think about it?
Even more, what are you going to do about it?
Probably nothing, your doctor is probably right anyway. Good luck
Doctors are always right!

This one is for a story I'm writing. I'm looking for any STD that shreds lungs, pretty much. If it can be a long, drawn out process (or at least one that can lie dormant for a while) that would be great. Husband dies in a close proximity to wife, tuberculosis is assumed. Three years later, the daughter and her spouse are admitted to the hospital for bloody pleural effusion. The story ends with the daughter being discovered to have been molested by her father shortly before his death. Only problem is that as far as I know, there are no STDs that actually do this. Any ideas?

I have a friend that says second hand smoke is harmless? I think he's a moron for saying this. He sits on the couch with his daughter sitting on his lap and smokes. He says that there is already so much crap in the air we already breathe that there is no proof that second hand smoke is harmful. He also says that he seen study on the internet that prooved that second hand smoke is harmless. Anyone have any suggestions I can tell this guy?

Such as a saxaphone or trumpet, something that would exercise your throat muscles. Would that help?

My 84 year old grandmother went into the hospital yesterday with a pulmonary/massive pulmonary embolism, blood clottage in the lungs. Cardiac arrest can also accompany it of course. I think the docs said something about slight internal bleeding. Pe can be fatal and the people who have it usually dies within the hour. She is in okay health I guess but not great. The docs feared that she would not survive the night. Actually she went into cardiac arrest five times. She is still alive but in critical condition. The doctors have no idea how she is still alive. I do not know maybe her organs are weak and her body is just giving up on her so she may die. We are not sure she will pull through. Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on this? I am surprised that her heart stopped five times and she is alive. Do you think there might be some underlying meaning behind that? (The worse to happen will be a coma).

Hi,
A friend of mine is currently in Orange County, CA, Children's Hospital where her daughter who is 5 years old was suffering from Pneumonia which has now put her in a coma, she was braindead for 15minutes then started breathing again but the doctors are saying today the 5th day she is in a coma, that there's nothing more they can do for her to turn her machines off and let her die. I'm sure there is someone out there that can DO something for little KC I've heard of so many stories of doctors helping and patients especially children recovering from the same condition. Please someone out there if you know where we can take KC or get another opinion of someone who wants to try to help her get better please please help us.

She is located in California, Orange County.

Kindest of Regards

Lois

Am confused, nasty bug going round my local area at the moment. My son was in hospital with RSV, my mum was also admitted with pnemonia, my self and many other people got it as a nasty cold (the men called it flu!)
Many people were given anti-biotics including my mum. But surely this is a virus? As my son was tested for it and came cack positive. I was taught that antibiotics only killed bacteria not virusus. So why to the docs keeps trowing antibiotics at everyone??

I have a cat at home. I'm not allergic to it and I don't have asthma. Is it possible for me to get asthma from my cat?

Has anyone ever had this test? My Dr. has scheduled this test for me this Friday. But I am already diagnosed with asthma and don't really understand the point of the test. I have bad allergies, which are the main cause of my asthma. I take Singulair once daily, which seems to help a lot. But I still have some impairment with my lungs. I am a little nervous about taking this test.

I've had it for a long time now.. i went to the doctor and they gave me antibiotics, i felt better while i was on them but that didn't fully cure me.

Whenever I am in the cold it worsens, it's hard to breathe and such, because of all the phlegm i have in my chest.

I eat halls cough drops and they help a lot but I'm tired of depending on them and anxiety worsens my problem by a lot.

the phlegm is clear, in the morning it's yellowish and when i get up in the morning i blow my nose and there are strands of blood.. and my nose is usually stuffy also.

Thanks for help, in advanced.

His temperature has been 99-101. He has also had a bad cough and a runny nose which seems to have gotten better in the last 24 hours. He is complaining of back, abdominal and chest pain (muscles) which i think is from coughing so violently. The fever is being controlled with tylenol. Should I worry or is whatever he has just going through its course. When should I bring him to a doctor?
