this dosent happen everytime I sleep but sometimes I wake up and im aware of things around me but I cant move right away it feels like its for ever but Im sure its just a brief moment but sometimes it can be scary like I cant move my fingers or my head or something its weird recently it has been happening but im not wakeing up. any Ideas could this be sleep apnea

it sounds like you're dreaming or you've woken up before your body has physically awaken. sleep apnea is when you temporarily stop breathing while you sleep (check out webmd.com). so, no your symptoms are not those of sleep apnea.

It would have a thing or two to do with what happened to you when you were young. The only treatment for sleep apnea is something called a CPAP. it is O2 that you where as a mask at night. Some people can't tolerate it. It would help much though until your older.

no I think you're just taking longer to wake up. people with sleep apnea don't know they have it because they don't wake up enough to be conscious of their surroundings. when you wake up, just breathe deeply and lie still for a moment or two til you have control of your muscles.

maybe ,..I doubt it, sleep apnea is something else.

this what you have sounds like you are having a nightmare

it,s a sleeping disorder, or your in a haunted house.first tell your doctor you have a problem sleeping he will give you some pills.
