Probably not. Marijuana is used by people with Epilepsy to help prevent and/or recover from seizures when they do happen.

The chemicals used to produce a 'b e a u t i f u l' crop could certainly affect one's neurological system...in other words, the dust used to kill bugs (Sevin Dust or Spray) may have been improperly applied. Funny how people who do illegal things sometimes do not follow the manufacturers recommended directions...go figure.

See the link below for information about seizures:

Also, if the person has not seen a physician, yet...he or she needs to make an appointment and go. It is possible that the seizures are not at all related to the marijuana use; however, it is important to report what happened so that if someone is poisoning those that they are selling to...it can be tracked and destroyed. Failure to report and subsequent deaths could put anyone who did know the grower at risk for manslaughter charges attributed to failure to report a suspected dangerous 'batch'. If necessary, report it annonymously...but do not hesitate to call AND cover your actions by noting the time and place of your call (long distance is better...) so that if a legal action follows that you can state that you did take an action to prevent further damage due to the suspect drug.

PERSONAL NOTE: We bought some over the counter bird seed and fed it to our Cockatiel...it had too much chemical on it or they harvested too soon after spreading the chemical...there is a time to wait depending upon type of food and rainfall amounts after treating. The bird's legs were the first thing to go...paralysis set in and within hours it died. Chemicals can do a real number of the neurological system...be careful. If any of the substance remains, it could be screened for added chemicals (tox-screen) by state law enforcement officials. Someone could face some very serious charges resulting from misuse of (and sale of) poisonous pot.

I doubt it, but the marijuana could have been laced with something. Your friend needs to see a doctor, if he or she hasn't already. I am an avid supporter of marijuana and have never had any health issues resulting from its use.
