I quit smoking 5 years and 8 months ago. I think perhaps the outdoor smoking is what is referred to as the "designated area." By law that is where they have to smoke. Indoors is a different story. For all of the facts open the links.

You should be more concerned with the quality of the air you breathe outside and indoors on a daily basis. Air pollution is full of many toxic particles that cause various health ailments. Second hand smoke outside a Walmart would seem insignificant if you would turn around and take a look at all the vehicles in the parking lot and the ones that are driving by with all the fumes emanating from the tail pipe.
Check out this web for more info on Air Pollution.

Then contact Walmart management.

I completely agree with you. I used to be in management in wal-mart and the higher up didnt care enough to change things. They even have a smoke room in the back where the break room is and still they don't enforce people not to smoke in front of the front doors. I was pregnant and couldn't take it. My unborn child deserved to decide at a later age if he wanted to smoke or not, right.

We had the same problem at the Wal-Mart in our area, and the law got changed. Now they have to be further from the entrances of the store. But I would complain directly to Wal-Mart corporate and see if they will do something. I bet that they already have something about it, but the manager is not following through.

Why don't you direct this directly at Wal-Mart? They might actually do something to fix it. Employees should not be smoking at an entrance or exit to the store. It might be illegal in your area. It is in ours.

i have the same problem they got there "butt stop" right by the main door, actually they do in a lot of places here. i think it is horrible that places do this and they should be forced to move it. try getting a petition going or something and show it to the head guy.
