IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!! I have already tried mucinex and it didn't work. It will come up little by little but it will not end. I need a simple, effective, way to get it out.

one thing i just read is to make a tea of the herb thyme, supposed to help coughs be productive. i just bought some today, but have not tried it. it is the regular herb you season food with, put it in a metal tea ball, steep for 5 minutes in boiling water before you add any sweetener like honey.
raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar, gargle twice a day, also, place a thin vinegar soaked cloth over throat area, cover with saran wrap, then use a flat hot water bottle or moist, hot wring out towel to heat the area, allowing the acv to absorb through the skin, will help with cleansing and healing the chest area..and feels great..
COLDS: Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for 3 days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold and clear the sinuses.

..
good luck

vit C taken liberally, 1000mg a day, and get off dairy. thats right, dairy. wondering where all that mucus comes from? (Dont tell me, "OHH, I dont eat much dairy!")
you would not believe how much dairy we all eat, and a huge part of that is butter, LOTS of butter. Also, drink about three cups of green tea a day (mix with rasberry tea for taste).

Also, there is this thing called a vit C flush, but its fairly radical and involves something called potasium iodide.

I've heard those vicks things you put in the shower with you help to loosen up mucus. Also, I have heard that drinking cranberry juice will help to break up mucus. Good luck!
