I have suffered from pneumonia a year before. Last last week i visited my doctor and she said i have pharangitis. so i took an antibiotic for a week and my sore throat was cured too. but last i week i still have cough and flu and this week i visited my doctor and said that i have a symptoms of pneumonia and required me for a follow up & a chest x-ray. But i visited him again and said that i do not need to have an x-ray if my condition is improving. I can breath a little more comfortable now but i now have a fever. What shoul i do? What is my sickness?

My doctor checked the meds I take and she said it's not my meds and she thinks its either a mistake from the lab or something going on in my body. What could cause this and how do you cure it?? What could be the side effects if this continues?

that started a week ago in my home. I have checked for any changes to my home and can't find anything. I don't experience this when I am out of my home. It's not my furnace or hot water heater. Could it be an allergy? Could it be mold? My husaband and son don't seem to smell it. Any ideas?

I've missed one day, school started on September 4th so far. You can see my symptoms here or what I think I have: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=An9qYRvTF9DeDmH2bVpatRvsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070923184133AAWtJxZ.
Here are my symptoms:

Random fits of coughing
Periodic Dehydration
Raw throat
Hard to breathe
Heat/Coldness fluctuations, however, not extreme
Around 100F fever (My norm is 97.6)
Drowsiness
Mild Headache

I tried the chicken noodle soup, resting, and warm salt water, all helped to a degree but I still feel quite awful, I feel worse however in the beginning of the day/morning so right before bed like now I feel my best, I shudder to think what I'll be like tomorrow morning... my mom thinks on the financial side of things and not my health, even saying that I won't miss school until December or January no matter how sick I am. Please help a teen out!

Thanks!

Yours Truly

(Sick) Sam

I have had a severe cough for three weeks. At first I started out with common cold symptoms. Two weeks later the symptom now is my cough and the broken capilaries in my face from coughing so hard. I am coughing up mocus, its white/ clear. I have tried expecterants, they thin the mocus to the point I can't cough it up. I started taking Nyquil last night, I actually got some sleep! But regreted it in the morning. I have never had anything like this before.

I have a question about coumadin, my father in law called me these morning and told me that both of his feet are discolored a bright red and the top of his left arm is also discolored. He has been on coumadin for the past 2 years, he has emphysema is on portable oxygen...ans was given the coumadin to thin his blood. Could the discoloration be from the coumadin? Im worried about him, but I live in New york state and he lives in Florida. I cant have my husband talk to him, because my husband is deployed to Iraq... Does anyone know anything about this med?

So i woke up yesterday with a sore throat. I tried to treat them with Cepacol. I didn't think anything about it because I just figured it was a sore throat cause I had been around smoke and that it would go away today. Now this morning just the left side of my throat hurts. I've tried to sooth it with Cepacol but nothing works. Is it strep? BTW. I'm going to the doctor soon but just wanted to know what everyone else's opinion was.

And have developed ear problems. It is almost like after leaving a concert and your ears are ringing, but no where near as bad. it is a constant now. Has anyone out there started having problems with their ears after starting use of the cpap machine? If so, did you end up going to an ent or back to the sleep doctor? Or quit using the cpap altogehter? THANKS!!!

Given how much evidence there is that smoking tobacco is dangerous to your health and can kill you eventually, do you think that smoking is a slow way of commiting suicide? I do. Smoking has been shown to give you Lung Cancer, as well as other respiratory problems such as Emphysema ( let me know if i spelled that wrong). It can also cause other types of cancer. For instance, my grandfather had bladder cancer last year (it is gone now) and the doctors said it was probably because he used to smoke. Also, my cousin's stepfather was also diagnosed with bladder cancer earlier this year, and the doctors said it was probably because he smokes. Smoking has been proven to reduce your lifespan. So, given all this evidence, it seems to me that anyone who smokes must either be suicidal or just plain stupid. What do you think?

As for me, it was a nine day stay in the hospital. My left lung collapsed due to fluid building up around the lining of the lung. Had to have surgery to scrape away mucous attached to the lung. Scared the heck out of me and I just went home and haven't had a cigarette since. Just quit cold turkey. That was almost two years ago. What finally made you quit and how did you do it?

For over a week my nose has been congested. At first I thought it was a cold so I took cold medicine then I thought it was sinuses so I took sinus/allergie medicine. The problem is still going on after a week. My nose has been bloody the entire time and somewhat with snot. It gets really crusty from all the blood and makes it sore. I have cleaned my nose out and still keep getting the same result. What could be the problem???
