Sometimes when I breathe I get a very sharp pain in the left side of my chest [ its either the heart or the left lung]. Its hard for me to breathe and it feels like someone is stabbing me

What could be the matter?

Im not to old. Still a teenager.

gas, If you hold your gas you could be causing gas buildup
It puts pressure inside and causes your ribcage to close up on your organs. Let it out. and stretch you back and stuff.

it could be pleurisy, or a developing infection. More than likely it's gas. Take gas-x and if that doesn't help go to the Dr. Your too young for much of anything else to be wrong.

Ah, this is exactly what's happening to me! Lame, isn't it?
My mother has said it's either lung consolidation or pleurisy, but she's not sure. I'm hoping to do to the doctor soon.

You go to a medical technologist and have them monitor your "ECG". Then go to a doctor (heart expert) with the results and he should be able to give you the right meds.

left side descending? probably angina... heartburn or acid reflux is in the middle of the chest area... see your Doctor for consultation~~~

go to the hospital and get checked, they will probably do a stress test and try to figure out what the pains are.

I get that too, but on both sides of my chest. I have no clue what it is!

i've had this too. if you smoke that would be the problem. if not then please see a doctor.
