For over a week my nose has been congested. At first I thought it was a cold so I took cold medicine then I thought it was sinuses so I took sinus/allergie medicine. The problem is still going on after a week. My nose has been bloody the entire time and somewhat with snot. It gets really crusty from all the blood and makes it sore. I have cleaned my nose out and still keep getting the same result. What could be the problem???

could be a sinus infection so you will need your doctor to clear it up.

There is alot of crap going around. It is probably a virus. Try cleaning your nose with peroxide. It will bubble which feels funky to say the least and it does burn but will help kill the infection and slow you bleeding. Also be sure to drink lots of fluids. If you have a snot running down the back of you throat gargle baking soda and warm water. 2 table spoons baking soda to every cup of water. For your nose squirt saline in each nostril every 2 hours. I really like to get in a tanning bed for 10 minutes and bake the snot out too. Good luck to you this virus can last up to 3 months. But if you do the above you should feel better in a matter of days. :)

Most likley sinus infection. The blood is from some of the medications that you have been taking to "dry up" your sinuses. The drier they get the more likely they are to bleed. You would be better going to the Dr. for possilbe antibiotics for your sinuses. Home remidies are fine, but you have severe symtoms.

I have sinus from abt 14 years.. but I never let it go to that stage that you start getting blood? C'mon how come you are taking the medicines on your own?

Please get yourself checked from a doc asap, this can be serious. And apart from the meds he gives do follow other instructions strictly.

It works for me but don't know it'll work for you or not.. I put 2 drops of oil(almond, coconut or whatever that suits you). You can check this tip with your doc if you can use it too.

Goodluck n go to the doc!
