I have just finished testing overnight at home with a portable oxymeter. I have noticed that the level dropped considerably upon resting (84-88) I do have COPD. I found that when I am active the level fluctuates between 91-96. Can someone tell me how normal oxygen level should be? Does anyone know what medi-care guideline is to cover the cost of supplemental home oxygen?

when he breathes it is raspy, while he sleeps he foams at the mouth and coughs, once in a while he will vomit. He sounds like he has trouble breathing once in a while. Also when he sleeps you can see his chest move like he's been running. Looks like he takes a break in his breathing... While he is awake he breathes heavily.

Can a case of walking pnemonia cause asthma? About two years ago I had walking pneumonia that took forever to go away. Before this I never had any symptoms of asthma, but now I do. Is it possible that the pneumonia could have caused me to have asthma?

I sleep alright, it's getting to sleep.
I seem to have developed this "condition" where I wake up about 5-10 times right before I fall asleep, but with no air. When I wake, I have to gasp for air, but seconds later I'm almost asleep again, then It repeats.
There's no pain or anything, but I just thought maybe someone out there might be able to help.
Without me going to the dreaded doctor.
