the person above is right...we need more details.
do you have trouble breathing?
what color is your sputum? are they thick?
have you been a smoker? if yes, how many years?
have you seen a doctor yet?
when did the problem start occurring?
what are your medical histories?
and so forth...

You didn't give any other details as to what may have been going on with your health lately, but I assume you must be coughing a great deal..it could be any number of things. Ask yourself a few questions..
do you smoke ,live with someone who does or are you exposed to smoke quite often?
Have you had an upper respiratory infection lately?
Do you have allergies?
Is ther mold in your home, basement, or are you exposed to it somewhere that you frequent?
Have you been diagnosed with or examined for Emphysema or TB?
Is there alot of dust in the home or other possible irritants? (some household cleaners can cause lung irritation, ie; ammonia, powdered detergents, bleach) or even perfumes or air fresheners
NOW.... a chronic cough can cause a condition known as PLEURACY... which in laymans terms means that the constant friction of the lung rubbing against the lining around it ( once the fluid between them is dehydrated) causes chest pain.
This may be your problem whether it is brought on by any of the above causes.
I would seek advice and care from a doctor... for certain!
But just in case you want to know more, check medical sites like the Center for Disease Control,
American Medical Society
or even webMD.
Do a google search for medical info sites relative to your problem......then call a doctor.
