When the oxygen was delivered to my home, they set it on the number 2 and told me to leave it there. I did for awhile. I was having difficulty breathing and my oxygen level was 94. Someone in the medical field told me to turn it up to the next level, it wouldn't
hurt anything. I turned it up.......Now I read on one of the answers on here that I should not have turned it up! WHAT IS YOUR EXPERIENCE OR ADVICE? My level was at 80 when they brought the oxygen. It never goes over 94. I have totally quit smoking so I am hoping it continues to climb up toward the 100 mark.

I'm not in any pain and this has been going on for easily a week. The problem is this constant awareness that when i try to take a deep breath, I can't. I bought an OTC inhaler but it doesn't seem to do anything. I seem perfectly healthy and I am able to run and workout with no problem... is the "condition" purely mental? It also feels like something is in my throat a little but I know nothing is. Please help.

I posted a couple of hours ago regarding respiratory problems.Just a
few minutes ago I was sitting on the couch reading, and all of the sudden I started having trouble breathing.I started wheezing and could barely breathe. The world started spinning out of control.I was able to stop whatever it was by breathing deeply, but it really scared me!Could someone tell me if this was an asthma attack?
P.S I went to the pulmonologist 2 months ago and he said my lungs sounded healthy after listening with his stethoscope.Should he have looked further into it?

I have always been prone to respiratory
illnesses.I have had pneumonia once, bronchitis three times, and often my
colds go to the chest.About 2 years ago,I started having a cough that came
and went.8 months ago,the cough came back worse than ever, and I started
experiencing wheezing and difficulty breathing whenever emotionally
upset and during strenuous exercise.I have been to the doctor several
times,he put me on Pulmicort and Albuterol for 6 months and said it was
probably allergies and they would go away. The medicines helped, but as soon
as I stopped taking them the problem got worse again.
My mother thinks it might be asthma, since 2 of my father's siblings
have it. Should I get a second opinion,or was the doctor right?

Ok, I have serious asthma + allergies, and I was wondering if anyone had any new allergy medications that they use (if you have asthma too) that have been effective for you! I have used zyrtec and singulair, neither have really worked. For me, the best so far has just been over the counter clariton, but there must be something better. Any ideas?

I wonder because I have it myself and have seen others with it but haven't seen other overweight people with it, seemingly it appears many seem to lose weight and wither away before death occurs. Can carrying extra fat reserves be helpful in extending my life or opposite effect?

Almost a year ago I was in a bad car accident and completely shattered my nose. Now I can hardly breathe through my nose because I have a deviated septum. I was wondering how exactly they correct it? Do they break your nose again and reset it? Also, when I broke my nose in the accident I got splints put in my nose. Do they put splints in your nose when you have surgery to correct a deviated septum? Any information as to what I can expect would be greatly appreciated.

It started with a sinus congestion. I am still coughing up yellow phlegm and my nose is constantly running. No fever the whole time. In fact, it has been between 97.6 and 97.9. Is this just a cold? What can I do to stop the excrutiating pain from coughing. Tylenol is not doing it any more.

Thanks. I should have gone to the doctors....
