Third day of coughing, chest pain/burning and onset of fever. This is my third time getting bronchitis in about 4-5 months, I'm 23 and have smoked cigarettes for a little over a year. (I have decided as of yesterday to quit smoking. Yes, I know I shouldn't be smoking. My mom died of lung cancer last year a the age of 47 and my maternal grandmother was diagnosed with emphysema this year.) I feel like crap and am tired of getting sick and am wondering if anyone thinks I may have chronic bronchitis. (Side note, I am already on an antibiodic Keflex for an unrelated infection. Why would I get bronchitis while I am on this drug since it is supposed to help clear it up?)

(ONLY TRAINED MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS NEED REPLY)
If I feel the onset fo an ear infection, will slathering the outside of my ear (Not the lobe, but around the entrance to ear canal) in neosporin or some other type of topical antibiotic help repel / prevent the infection?

As I get older, my fingernails tend to curve downward when they grow more than 1/8" long. I've seen references on several websites that this "may be an indication of serious heart or lung disease", but have been unable to find anything more specific. I've tried biotin and B12, but don't notice any improvement.

I am a 17 year old very tall skinny male. I had a spontaneous pneumothroax and had it solved with a tube in my chest for 3 days. Well its better and I was released from the hospital but it was the worst experience of my entire life. I've been told it reoccurs alot and I am so terrified of that. I'm scared to inhale, walk or even pass a bowel movement because of this fear. Please please please tell me all I can do to make sure it doesnt reoccur or if i'm allowed to be normal again, please no mean/sarcastic people answer this, i'm seriously scared to breathe.
