Could be strep thorat or tonsilitis. You will need to go to a doctor for antibiotics if that is in fact what you have. But I would suggest going to the doctor regardless just to make sure.

I found this through respiratory and may have an answer for you.
If you take a lot of inhalers (especially powdered) and antibiotics and steroids your problem could be you have a yeast/fungus infection in your stomach. It is like thrush and can cause white patches in your mouth and throat. You need to see a stomach specialist to check this out.
I had this problem which led to reflex that ruined my esophagus. I finally was able to have surgery to help me get my food down. This is a real serious problem and should be looked into asap.
I almost starved to death, lost 80 lbs and was on the verge of suicide to get out of my misery and the Dr. wanted to put me on a feeding tube. When you can't get food or liquids down your ready to give up.
Luckily with the weight loss I could breath better (have copd) and could finally have the surgery.
And now I am able to eat most foods and am doing fine.
Good luck

You have a bad case of Strep Throat. You need penicillin asap.. Like what you have is contagious.. Please seek doctor care. You don't want this virus to get into your heart. Untreated infections can lead to alot of health issues if not taken care of. Until you can see a doctor, gargle with warm salt water, also you can spray your throat with Chloriseptic Spray sold at most drug stores..

1st one has to know if this is accompanied by fever . r u feverish in anyway? r there any other manifestations or complains? however , from ur description , if u have a difficulty in swallowing & some pain with white heads over ur tonsiles , this resembles a bacterial infection . all it needs just a suffecient dose of antibiotics , analgesics & warm drinks!

Strep. Hands down. I had the same **** earlier this year. And it probably won't show up on the quick test. Get to the doctor before you develop rheumatic fever.

do you have a fever? looks like infection -- the white spots, im thinking white blood cells and swollen? it's inflammation due to infection.
have it checked by the doctor soon.
