1 tsp. of baking soda in water. Stir it good and add ice to help you drink it without gagging. It tastes nasty but it works. Anytime you have heartburn that keeps coming back day after day you should see a doc. Most women felt like they had bad indigestion prior to having a heart attck. Im not trying to scare you, but if it gets worse during the night, I would go to the er.....seriously.

anything peppermint will work - peppermint tea, peppermint altoids, candy canes...peppermint soothes the stomach. also 7-up or sprite can help.

my suggestion is that in order to prevent the indigestion from even happening in the first place, that you avoid things such as caffeine (especially coffee), alcohol, acidic foods (coffee, vinegar, orange juice etc), spicy foods, and any other foods that you notice trigger indigestion. for some people, greasy foods cause it. so figure out what triggers it and stay away from it. but caffeine, alcohol, acid, and spicy foods really seem to be the same for most people.

Try not to lie down when you have heartburn and as for eating something, a tablespoon of vinegar I SWEAR gets rid of it instantly. It won't harm the baby, just tastes a little rough =) Almonds also help by absorbing excess stomach acids.

peppermint tea helps...ipapaya and pineapple have enzymes
that help digestion, if you don't have fresh fruit, you can buy
tablets at Trader Joe's or a health food store that have
those enzymes in them. But probably the best thing to do
is stop eating too much of whatever it is that is causing the
problem..

half teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water- tastes salty though ! Red apple cider vinegar is also supposed to help, but tastes really bad. You should see your doctor, could be a sign of ulcer disease. Soda water also helpful, ie club soda.
