Ok this was my experience when I was on chemo.

I thought I had a smell (not a bad one.....more mediciny), but when I would ask family and friends they claimed they didn't smell anything. I also had the "icky" feeling on my skin. After a little while it turned into tingling and numbness (neuropthy). When I talked to my chemo staff they said that these feelings and smells were caused by the type of chemo meds I was on. Some people experience this and some don't. When you are done with chemo they will go away. If you are concerned about this, you should talk to your chemo staff or Doc and they can offer you some suggestions. Good Luck and I hope you are better soon.

The sticky sensation might actually be neourapathy, a side effect of some chemo drugs. It affects your nerve endings and may give you the sensation that you skin is sticky.

I'm not aware of the body odor, although my sense of smell and taste went out of wack while doing chemo, so this could be what is going on. Perhaps an unscented body powder with baking soda will help.

If not, ask your doctor. He or she may have some insight.

Both. I felt like I was slimey and sticky. It was almost like the oil glands in my skin went into overhaul too. The smell thing I'm not sure if it was chemo or the fact that if you do radiation therapy you can't use perfumes, soaps or lotions. It was a very funky time of life for me. Preservere, you'll get through and feel and smell alot better after it's over.
Best of luck and my blessings to you.

All I know is that chemo bascially toxifies your body to the breaking point, with the intent of toxifying it for the cancer too. If you are asking for youself because you have the disease, my best wishes to you, take strength and courage through this.
