This is a bogus question. Both foreign substances and interact are very subject and broad matters.

Depends on the substance.

We can breath it in, where it can interact with our bloodstream. Depending on the substance it will or will not influence bodyfunctions. We can eat it. swim in it get stabbed with it.

It can cause blunt trauma, cut us anywhere, we could bleed to death. It could drown us............
