I spent 16 days in the hospital after my double lung transplant, I had no complications but dis spens 1 extra day due to a press conference being held upon my release. Actual hospital stay for an individual depends on several factors, any complications from the surgery itself or rejection episodes or problems with the medications may extend the stay.

This will depend on how things go after. There could be infection problems or rejection . It is different for each individual. I have heard some that were there a little more than two weeks and some for months.
