molds are common entities in our environment. most people are quite capable of living with it. however there are some molds, or mold like organisms which can play havoc with anyone, but are more troublesome for persons with respiratory complications.

unless you get a lung infection directly related to a mold growing within the lung tissue you will most likely only experience allergic symptoms to common molds. still these symptoms can be serious so managed treatment by a pulmonologist, or allergist, or even an good internal medicine doc is essential for someone like you.

try to keep a clean environment, change filters at home, keep excess moisture down in the home, and follow your prescibed medication regimen.

i have a basement apartment that gets mold, and i have asthma. The two are a very bad pair. I just got a dehumidifier and i use Damp Rid around the apt. The best thing is to just get out a moldy home, although for most that's not really possible. Good Luck, if you find anthing else that helps the asthma let me know.

Mold is not good for lungs. Mold loves to live in damp places. A dehumidifer can help prevent mold build up. Bleech is excellent for cleaning moldy walls or tiles. Even people who dont have asthma can get lung problems if they live in a building that has too much mold.

Mold and mildew will cause you not to be able to breathe. I have to use a dehumidifier to keep these down in my home or I would stay in the doctor's office with breathing problems.
