My son is five years old,and he always has a bad chest,he has a cold and a cough at least once a month. If he falls asleep on me you can feel his chest is always weezey. He eats alot of fruit and I do my own cooking so he does'nt eat ready made meals so I can't see it anything I'm doing. He had a real bad chest infection christmas day and now he's got a cough and a cold again. But what annoys me is when we go to the doctors they say his chest is clear, and they have been telling his nan the same thing for years and then she was diagnosed with some bad lung disease at the age of 39.So it does worry me,because it always seems like they just don't want to know.If anyone can give me some info or tell me if there is any test he could get done just to see if it is astma, that would be great.

I have had myasthenia gravis for 30 years and I have been able to control my weight with some difficulty. In October I had a severe myasthenic crisis following a chest infection. My steriods were increased to 80mg daily and the Mycophenelate was increased to 1250mg daily, resulting in a substantial weight gain. The steriods have now decreased to 30mg daily and the mycophenelate has stayed at 1250mg daily. Although I am watching my diet, my weight is increasing, since October I have put on 36pounds. Has anyone been in the same position and managed to loose weight, or do I have to put up with it.

Doctors' tested me for HSV1 and HSV2 and both came back negative. Antibiotics decrease the symptoms but can't get rid of it completely. Whenever I don't get enough sleep and my immune system is low, my throat gets really sore, when I get my sleep, it's only slightly sore. Anyone had a similar experience? What was it?

I know someone who has asthma and I was wondering if there is a cure for it?

I unfortunately have severe asthma and allergies. I am on tons of medicine and play lots of sports. I cough all the time and blow my nose allot. I can't tell you how many rude looks and comments that I get. Today I was working out and had an asthma attack and was coughing vigorously that some ppl inquired. I said like I usually do that it was the asthma so they would realize I was not contagous. Is it insecure to often mention the allergies/asthma?

Lately I have been getting sore in the ribs and extremely tired. Also through the night when I turn to my side or my stomach I feel a cracking or snapping in the middle of my chest, this has been going on for about two weeks now. Like you know when someone cracks their knuckles that kind of a sound. Does it sound like I have a chest infection/cold? Has anyone felt this in their chest at all? Or could I have a slight case of pnemonia and if so is this harmful if left untreated for too long?

do you need to take a deep breath in and out? because i think everyone makes a sound if they push air out fast enough (not trying to hyperventilate myself lol) but is wheezing only during actual normal breathing? i noticed a little wheeze i didnt before and i AM having chest pain and breathing difficulties (hense me trying) but not just with normal breathing. i actually have to force some breath out a bit to get to that.
