do you need to take a deep breath in and out? because i think everyone makes a sound if they push air out fast enough (not trying to hyperventilate myself lol) but is wheezing only during actual normal breathing? i noticed a little wheeze i didnt before and i AM having chest pain and breathing difficulties (hense me trying) but not just with normal breathing. i actually have to force some breath out a bit to get to that.

You may have asthma. My son had this and he had to get a nebuulizer. Also, you may have a possible heart condition. I would get this checked out right away. You can die from either one of these things. Good luck I hope that it is nothing serious.

Wheezing is caused from phlegm in your bronchial tubes. Depending on what is wrong with you, you can have it with either normal or deep breathing. From what you say, you may have asthma. Asthma can cause chest pains along with wheezing. You may also have bronchitis which seems similar to asthma and is treated in much the same way but with antibiotics too.

Wheezing is a noise or sound which is audiable from even a distance which can be heard outloud by others or yourself with all types of breathing, even shallow breathing. It is a "squeaky" kind of noise usually a little high pitched maybe like a repeatedly squeaky door noise. Lungs can also sound "rattly", but ususally isn't as loud which is kind of rougher sounding sorta like a motor not running right. You need to see a doctor soon. It is important. Don't wait!!!

"Wheezing" is not a normal "breath sound" if you don't have other respiratory problems. If your having any Respiratory distress you should go to the ER,could be something like a pneumonia, and that's nothing to play around with. Take care. SW RNP

Like me you may be suffering from Asthma or asthma like symptoms. You did not say age, pneumonia, or younger, anxiety attacks. Too many variables.
