I have mild chronic bronchitis which makes me feel depressed and fatigued. I've had it for about a yeat now and got it spontaneously. I have asthma and I dont smoke. I was wondering if it is ever reversible, does it ever go by itself, or am i stuck with it until i die?

My son was diagnosed with bronchitis yesterday and prescibed a "z-pack" Zithromax anitbiotic. Yesterday he took the first double dose and will take the 2nd dose today @ 5pm. He has a highschool soccer game today. Is it ok for him to play in the game. As a defender there is less running than the mid and forward positions.

Our furnace was installed where the intake and exhaust pipes are vented one foot away from each other. The exhaust sucks up into the intake. During real cold weather the intake pipe gets frozen over with ice from the hot exhaust that is being sucked into it. My husband put an extension on the exhaust pipe to lead it away from the intake. However, now the pipe fills up with water from the condensation and turns into ice not allowing the exhaust to exit. Could this be dangerous . Could it be causing my headaches and exhaustion?

have had a nasty chest infection am asthmatic and occasionally suffer from panic attacks/anxiety. once or twice i've had paplitations as result of my asthma triggering a panic attack, but never anything really serious. Twice in the last week when ive felt wheezy enough to use my home nebuliser, ive ended up panicing and hyperventilating till i've lost concious and had to be taken to hospital. Has this ever happened to anyone else? What are the chances of it happening again now i'm on the right anti biotics (hopefully) and been given oral steroids for the chest infection?
the hospital didn't tell me much at all.

My mom is 44 and was diagnosed with emphysema about a year or so ago. She cut down on smoking, but she still smokes. Her emphysema was at the early stages when she was diagnosed, but she hasnt been checked since then.
Someone...please tell me how long she'll live...
You probably won't be able to tell...but an estimate would be nice...
I'd really like to know...
I'm so worried about her :-/

So I've been having shortness of breath since 5 years ago. It hasn't gotten "worse" or anything, I'd say better..or the same, but not worse. To me, it's easier to exhale than inhale. I don't cough......at all. But when I do, which is very rare, it's has a weird rough sound and it sort of scratches my lungs. I don't wheeze, ok I lied, but it's not very loud, actually, I can BARELY hear it (I have to be really quiet and listen very carefully), and I don't wheeze every time I breathe, only after I run, but like I said, it's very faint. I'm 15, and my dad smokes around me a lot. I have no allergies whatsoever, not one. Also, in gym class, I sort of get a little bit more tired than the other students, maybe that's because I don't exercise much (I stay on the computer 24/7) but it could be because I have asthma. I don't know, I'm just really scared because I don't want to have asthma. Also, I can't go to the doctor, no insurance. I've told a lot of people about this, they say I'm fine.

She spent 16 hours in the ER and the nurse was not very quick to respond to the constant alarms (BP 60/0) etc., etc. and then spent 4 days in ICU, then Kaiser Fontana requested she be moved to them, 50+ miles away, well she never made it and the paramedics turned back. Now another 5-6 hours in ER AGAIN, and they had to put her on a ventilator. She has upper GI bleeding and they still have not scoped her, we are still waiting for them to identify the bug as well as do a brochoscopy. She has had ARDS twice before and MRSA from the last hospital stay. This woman is going through hell and we can not get concrete answers and the doctor does not seem to be proactive. We even warned them all this was going to happen, because we'd been through it before. The other hospital though (300+ miles away) we were kept informed and they were all over it. Here it seems she is not a priority. What can we do? We have money. I have talked with everyone I can and no one can help. What are our choices here?

It all started on Saturday morning with painful coughing, then developed into aches and pains with a fever. My temp seem to peak at 104 on sunday. I went to the doctor on monday early afternoon .and he though it had a broncities, he perscribed me some cough syrup and anti-biotics..by monday the fever and aches disappeared, butmonday night it took an unexpected turn by adding nasal/sinus congestion and ear plugging. First one ear, then both by Tuesday. Ive been coughing mildly, sometimes coughing up stuff, sometimes just dry coughs. The over-the-counter nasal spray I took helped with my nasal/sinus airways. Today, I'm feeling better, but my ears are still both mildly plugged up by what feels like pressure.. Is this part of the healing process ? or something else I should have looked at ? Also, I seem to have a little cold sweating.
