I've visited the doctor twice. The first time I was prescribed a series of zithromax and the second time I was prescribed an albuterol inhaler. Neither have helped my cough. What's going on with me?

My mother was exposed to TB 50 years ago because her father had it. She has never developed it but she has tested positive on the skin test and negative on chest xray. The doctors at that time did not recomend INH or any other drug for latent TB. Since latent TB cannot be transmitted to anyone else, none of her family ever developed TB. Is there a chance it has completely gone away?

I strongly feel I have pleurisy and very much want to remember the name of that blood test since my results of the clotting factor were high. If anyone can help, I'm grateful since my health is important to me and I'm trying to figure out the cause of this medical condition via the name of the blood test. Thanks and Peace.

I needed to use some last night for a chest cold since im asthmatic and I still had about 20 left in a prescription for one year ago. Is it still going to work? If yes, how do you know this? I dont want someone just guessing. If I need to go today to get another prescription I will (if its not going to work)

3 days ago i took two of my kids to the er with high fevers. no vomiting ot diarheaa . the dr told me they had the flu, and prescribed both of my kids narcotics, hydrocodone and guafinesin, they werent even coughing. then yesterday my 3 yr old started coughing, so we reluctantly gave him the meds the dr prescribed, it did not help at all, that kid was wired for sound. i just want to know about a med that is not a suppressant and that does not have dextromathorphin

I feel lousy with a sore throat, stuffy nose, bad cough, but sometimes in the past when I've gone to the doctor I'm told, "It's just a cold, over the counter meds will ease the symptoms" How do I know when it is time to go to the doctor?
