I would go to the doctor and get Mucinex..that works great! If you can't go to the doc, get an x-tra strength OTC med that relieves chest congestion...just don't exceed the dose and make sure the med. won't have a bad interaction with any meds. you take. I also like drinking green tea and taking hot showers to clear up congestion. They now sell these wafers you can put in the shower that release soothing vapors---never tried em, but I saw a commercial. Also avoid things like milk and OJ which seems to thicken secretions. Hope you feel better soon :o)!!

Andrea B, try a little honey and lemon, heat it up on the stove or microwave before drinking it just for a few seconds. That will help with the congestion.

An expectorant like Mucinex works wonders. Steamy showers help too.
