You could have pleurisy, an infection of the membrane surrounding the lungs or bronchitis or pneumonia. It is not
likely lung cancer, that comes later. Pleurisy and pneumonia cause the sharp pains upon coughing.

Go to a doctor, get some antibiotics and if need a chest X-ray.
Pleurisy and pneumonia sometimes show up on x-rays.

Then stop the smoking, you are young, likely will not get cancer
from what you smoked thus far; stopping to smoke will reduce
the frequency of chest infections and future cancer.

Also you second hand smoke hurts others.

If you later have children, and smoke, they tend to copy parents
and will smoke and have these problems.

Antibiotics from a good doctor should help you now.
Go see one, don't delay and don't worry about cancer now.

Well, sorry to hear your problem. First thing, stop smoking. And go for a simple chest X-ray first which any doctor can prescribe and recommend a X-ray lab nearby. Further treatment and tests will be suggested by the doctor based on a physical examination and tests.

It sounds to me like you might have bronchitis. You need to get it checked out because it can turn into Pneumonia. The "sticks" are only irritating it further.
