Nyquil and Dayquil work fine on the symptoms. If you'd like to kick the cold faster, try Cold-ease or Zicam. Both can cut the cold down to only two or three days instead of 7-10

Nyquil and dayquil raise your blood pressure as with any over the counter medication and to be honest, it doesnt work. i dont know what your symptoms are but i have tried Tyelenol severe allergy and cold, Robitussin DM. Robitussin works for me the best. i love it. Bendadryl and Sudafed doesnt help me at all despite all the hype about it. also try taking hot theraflu and drink tons of orange juice. OJ has helped me get over my colds faster.

Only way to beat a cold is to get lots of sleep, and drink lots of water.

You need to try and prevent getting a cold by trying to make sure your body temperature is consistant by avoiding going from one temperature extreme to another.
Example: Leaving warm house in winter, walking in very cold, then catching a heated bus, then back in cold air to a hot office or house.

Or in summer, being in air con all day and walking outside to a blast of heat can give you a cold.

Make sure you eat more real food on a regular basis (fruit and veges and some healthy red meat). It really helped me when I used to suffer constant colds.

If you want something that will really work, and won't leave you feeling like a space case, use holistic measures.
Zicam nasal swabs....follow the instructions....it really does work.
I have used it daily for the past four years, and haven't had a cold in the past four years.

NY Giants Freak,

Lots of alcohol! Are they real colds or more like lots of sinus issues? Have you ever thought that maybe it's something indoors? EPA says our indoor air quality is 2-5 times worst than outdoors...makes you wonder what your sniffen huh? Email me if you'd like some more info at alcoserfamily@yahoo

Take care!
