My daughter is 8 months old and has not gained much weight at all since she was about 4 months. She has grown in length and head size, but just not weight. Our doc is sending her for all sorts of tests to rule things out. One of them being cf. I am so nervous. She has shown no other symptoms other than not putting on weight. No respiratory problems, normal poops. How worried should I be? No cases in the family and she is right where she should be in every other developmental aspect. She does A LOT of spitting up. Doc just gave me Pepcid for her and she also has some special powder to add to her food to help with the weight gain. I know there are so many other things out there that could be wrong (something as simple as acid reflux or high metabolism), but when you hear cf as a parent that just seems to ring in my ears.

Has been on two rounds of antibiotics. Plus hydrocordone for coughing. Vet says he wants to do exploratory surgery. This will cost 1500.00 dollars to see if she has a foxtail in her lung. In this day and age you mean to tell me there is no machine that will show a foriegn object in a dogs lung? Also what else could it be like congestive heart failure. She is nine years old. I had a friend who had to have there dog on lasix when it got older. She is 2lbs overweight and I have her on diet food. DO you think this could be the cause too? She still is eating fine and running around. What about steroids like prednisone?
Thank you in advance for anyone who might be of help/

I have been fighting a severe cold for a little over a week now. I am still very congested in my head and chest. My cough is productive but I am very nauseas. Is this common with a cold? I've never felt nauseas while having a head/chect cold? How do I get rid of this mucus in here? My doc. put me on Z-Pac last week but it's still here. He called in another pack for me today. Is there something else I could be taking to make me feel better?

I have had bronchitis as well as a cold for about two weeks. Already went to the doctor, no antibiotics. I have been coughing up lots of green/brown mucus. Lots of coughing.

For the past few days, I've felt mild abdominal soreness, mild lower back discomfort, chest tightness/soreness most noticeable on the left side, and numbness/tingling in right arm, side and leg.

I'm guessing that the mucus/chest soreness is from bronchitis and coughing. But what about the numbness and tingling? I was playing darts the other day and also I type constantly on a laptop, could that be a cause for the arm issues? Then, perhaps I pulled or strained a back muscle which is causing the leg/back/side numbness and tingling?

I am just guessing. My husband thinks I'm a hypochondriac. Maybe I am. I don't want to go to the doctor and embarrass myself complaining about all these different symptoms, but I'm scared. BTW I am 29 yr old/F

Any thoughts on the cause of these various issues?

TY
