Urea is a waste product produced in body by metabolism of nitrogenus material that is proteins specially. Urea formed in body is filtered by kidneys & chronic diseases of kidney like renal failure .ch,glomerulopathy ,ac,nephritis all leads to increase in urea in blood & this is known as UREMIA unless treated it is a fatal condtion. The normal level of urea in blood is 25 to 40 mg%.
More than 90 -100 mgs start giving rise to symptoms of uremia like confusion,poor urine volume or complete anurea ( non formation of urine ) Increase BP, coma & ultimately multiorgan failure. Enlarged prostate in old age also give rise to increase urea levels. Liver failure also leads to disturbence of protein metabolism & uremia.

dunno, but apparently someone died of urea poisoning when they were involved in a radio competition for 'who can not pee for longest?' HA! she didnt even win.
