Genetics: Why you may inheret a disease?

Is it possible that people who have a 'genetic' disposition, a vulnerability to a disease, may in fact have a vulnerability to certain bacteria, certain viruses, or certain parasites ?

My brother in law's boyfriend, a hypochondriac, now says he has an over active immune system. I briefly researched this on webmd and only came up with auto immune disorders, a list/group of immune disorders, with lupus topping the list. So, is there an illness also referred to as over active immune system?

I have kind of a vague nausea. By "vague" I don't mean it's not strong, because it can be very strong as it comes and goes. I don't know...it just feels weird.

I have the following things at my disposal:

Clonazepam (generic Klonopin)
Dramamine
Pepto Bismol
Maalox Plus
Nyquil
Unsalted saltine crackers
Wheat bread
Water
Dr. Pepper (a soft drink)

I'm distracted to the point that I can't think straight. Please help me figure out what to do.

I have had a black toenail for well over 4 or 5 months, it does not go away! I had it tested about a month ago and it is NOT fungus.. what are other possiblities of why i have a black toenail. It hurts to wear shoes and even when i'm not wearing shoes my toe starts to hurt like a knife is going through it and when i walk i feel it in my bone (as weird as that sounds) please someone help me the doctors in the military aren't that helpful with this situation!

Have had blood work , CT scan, and ultrasound. No insurance- cant find a specialist who will treat me, w/o BIG cash up front. trying to control BP but other than that.. dont seem to be able to do much but wait for it to get worse, then when Im too sick to work, they will help me ( medical card) go figure. have had it around 3 days but seems to be getting worse, head aches, pain in cheeks, sore jaw and face feels swollen, i am pregnant so can only take paracetamol which is not doing much i understand the doctors are very reluctant to prescribe medication but i cannot stand it anymore, if it still bad tomorrow should i go and see about it or am i wasting my time?

(this and morning sickness is a nightmare

well guys i m getting some dark circles under my eye...i think its because of inediquate sleep and rest..but my job profile is like this i have 2 work for 15 hrs at a stretch some times...n some times iwork in day n sometimes in the night..so sleeping time is not fixed..any suggestion to get rid of this problem

I am 12 years old and I have big bags under my eyes. How can I get rid of them fast and is it true that bags can go to a point where they become permenant??? Please help me it soo embrassing. The voice of a fat person is easily discernable. Like on the phone, if I am speaking to a fat woman, I can tell by the sound of her voice. Does weight gain constrict the larynx somehow to alter the voice's pitch?
