It is a sad sad thing that this has happened. But I work at Petsmart and I just wanted you to know its not ALL dog and cat food..... it is just wet food. Dry dog food is COMPLETELY safe for ALL animals.

And it isnt every brand. It is one company that owns multiple dog brands. Also Science Diet (who is not owned by this company) volunteered to have all of their wet food recalled as well just to let people know we are doing our best to ensure all pets are safe now that this has happened. (science diets food is NOT unsafe it was NOT involved in the contaminated food)
Whiskas, Friskies, Royal Canin, Alpo, etc. and most grocery store brand dog and cat foods have not been affected. It is more on the high end scale of foods. So please feed your pets!!! This will all be cleared up in a matter of days!!!!!!!

oh and also.... please take your pets to get checked out at your local vet if you have used any of the products being recalled. But please contact the food manufacturers in regards to vet bills. It was not the fault of any store where the food was purchased.
