I just noticed that I have a wart on the bottom of my foot. I read on the internet that they are caused by HPV and I was wondering if I'm more at risk for developing that one cancer that deals with HPV. Should I be worried?

>>>and if it is a planters wart it will have a "seed" in the middle. They sometimes look like a thorn and resemble a corn. I have used small clippers and extracted these type before. It could always be something worse. If in doubt see your doctor because cancer isn't something to play with. Untreated skin type cancers are most deadly. At best keep an eye on it and if it starts changing don't waste any time seeing a doctor. Good luck.

The wart on your foot is probably a plantar wart. Ask the doctor and he may recommend having it removed. It doesn't have anything to do with HPV but it will be best off there!

HPV stands for human papilloma virus, a virus which can cause cervical cancer in women. What you have is probably a plantar wart, which can occur on the sole of the foot.
