I've been fighting it for a little less than a year now. I see a pediatrician, therepist, and nutritionist. For the past 4 days I've had a good spell, eating more than I have in months. However, I feel myself slowly slipping back into my old habits. Please help. I'm tired of being sick.

I've been taking care of my elderly father for about two months. Lately he has become increasingly combative. I have promised him that he wouldn't end up in a nursing home. Does anyone have any idea home to make things easier for all of us?

My doctors are stumped, family and rheumatologist. What is happening is that I have swollen joints and muscles. Rheumatoid (as stated to me) only has swollen joints and that area, but I have swollen tops of the feet and hands, face, eyes etc. etc. etc.

They have taken lots of blood tests and have determined a "guess" that it is rheumatoid arthritis but they can't explain my other symptoms which inlcude the following:
- swollen odd parts of body
- stomach problems with select foods
- sensitivity to chemicals that add extra swelling to rheumatoid areas and odd muscles
- muscle weakenss, only walk short distance and then too weak
- breathing problems with asthma and bronchitis
- headaches
- light is too bright sometimes

My major blood tests (a lot of them) rules out common muscles diseases and other types of diseases.

I haven't tested for allergies, can these be symptoms of allergies? Even swollen body? I can't walk without walker or cane.

Thank you.

I always had 120/70 and was told it was perfect, last year I went to the Gyn and they told me my blood pressure was a little high, didn't tell me the numbers but they said it could be stress, I was going to have a pap-smear after they took my bp. That was the last time I checked my blood pressure , I have been to my family doctor but they never take my BP, today I went to CVS pharmacy and I was so bored waiting I took the test in one of those machines they have. It was 135/80. It surprised me, I waited and see other people getting normal blood pressures , I wanted to make sure the machine was working. I always watch out my diet , I exercise regulary, I eat oatmeal every day even though I hate it. I am concerned, is this considered high? I'm 28 years old and I have never been pregnant, should I go to the doctor?, I don't feel bad at all , I feel normal.

I have received an email that warns me of lipsticks that contained lead, a substance that causes cancer. I use none of them but how can I be sure that my brand has no lead? Is there a simple test that I can do to check if my brand has no lead?

I've had the following symptoms for, well, forever, and NO ONE knows what's going on:

Dizzy spells, accompanied by nausea, followed by dry-heaving, shaking, passing-out, and tingly feet and hands.

These little attacks usually happen at least every second day and afterwards I am outta commission for hours. So, these symptoms are kind of ruining my life.

Any ideas??

Been tested for thyroid probs, sugar and insulin probs, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, GERD, basic liver function, multiple myeloma, hormone probs, H. Pylori, some autoimmune disorders....and more. Have seen at least 5 different docs about all this. But, after waiting for appointments and after enduring tests, nothing gets solved and nothing works. Then, well, I end up waiting to see someone else.

One doc suspected gastritis but am waiting for an endoscopy and colonoscopy (not until May), since I haven't responded to at least 7 different treatments that are supposed to treat the condition.

My cousin had her baby 4 years ago and the child had Tay Sachs, i have seen this baby getting worse and worse and im terrified that one day when i have children it will turn out the same, im only 18 now so not thinking about starting a family and i will get tested before i have children.
I want to know now without the test how big the risk would be that someone else in the family is also a carrier of the gene?
I know the rate is rising in Irish-Americans and my boyfriend is Irish-American and i am Irish.
I know the information about the disease, statistics etc but so far haven't found any information about the risk of other relatives being carriers, so if anyone knows any information relevant to this, id be very grateful.
Thanks =)

I have noticed a lump on the back of my head. I noticed it yesterday, and I started to concern me. The thing is, I feel fine. I have no headaches or anything. In fact, I haven't had a headache for a couple of months. I feel like I normally do, so it is confusing me. I'm 15, if that helps.

I am friends with a girl who says that she must drink alcohol for medical reasons. She says that she lacks alcohol in her blood, just as a dibetic lacks insulin. Is this a recognized medical condition? If so, I would appreciate any info on it. Thanks in advance.
