I had my gb removed 8 weeks after my first c-section. The first week was really tough. I had difficulty taking anesthesia so close together. After 7 days, miraculously I began to feel like myself again. I had a 2 year old son also and was able to pick him up in about 7 days. Make sure to take it easy because walking and moving around might be a little uncomfortable for the first few days. It's best to take aleve as directed or pain relief prescribed by your doctor to help you get over the worst part. And beware: you'll probably have a good bit of stomach distention.

Since there using the scope process your recovery time will be shorter than the cutting process. I was very sore for about a week. Two weeks I was back to normal but still had to be careful lifting heavy object. Some people heal faster than others. Your follow up exam with your Dr will confirm your back to work and lifting.

follow the advice of your GP. It took my wife about that long for her recovery.
