Is this an eating disorder?How can i help??

A friend of mine told me that when he sees food, he gets hungry, but he just never feels like eating...where did this come from?is it a disorder? what can i do to help?

It doesn't sound like an eating disorder to me. Is he depressed at all? Is he on any medications that could be affecting his appetite? Is he willing to see a docotor? Loss of appetite can be a symptom of many illnesses.
