A pacemaker is typically used to control the rate and rhythm of the heart. The only connection that it may have to your kidneys is in that increased blood pressure (which can be caused by your heart beating too hard) can damage your kidneys over time.

A pacemaker encourages the heart to beat on time. If your kidneys don't work that means that they're not filtering impurities out of your system and there's no way to fix that. What they do with failing kidneys is put you on dialysis, which means that they hook you up to a machine that filters your blood for you. Usually if it's really bad they'll make you go it every other day for a few hours at a time.
