His eyes were wide open and he said it made him sleepy. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm concerned that it could be a sign of epilepsy.

My girlfriend has experienced pain in the upper stomach, which sets in worse when she eats (as opposed to being relieved by eating). She also reported feeling better when she ate vegetables, instead of fatty foods. What could be the possible causes of this discomfort?

I have expereinced this on occassion over the years but more often lately. Just sitting at my desk for example, I suddenly feel a huge pressure on the left side of my kneck and ear, I lose my normal hearing but can hear and feel my heart beat/pulse. It seems loud and heavy and happens for about 5-10 seconds then goes away. It happens most often when I am at rest. I am 45, don't smoke, have not had high blood pressure before and am in generally good health. Any idea what this might be? I plan on checking with my doctor but love to do a bit of research myself.

Hi there, I am at a loss because I am taking prevacid twice a day and my GERD symptoms are not getting cured, even getting worse at times! I am thin, young, and stay away from the trigger foods...Has anyone been told to take prevacid (or any other acid suppression medication) more than twice a day? I heard that in hyper cases this might be necessary...I am just running out of ideas to try to cure this damn thing!

Hi there. This is a completely serious question. This has never happened to me before, but I think I'm constipated. I tried to relieve myself, and it was very stressful and didn't work. It's painful to stress those rectal muscles by trying to relieve myself. It really scared me, and I'm not sure what to do. (We have no laxatives in the house.)
What can I do to fix it, right now?
