I was wondering how long h might live. he is sixty-six years old. he has had three strokes and eight heart attacks in ten years.he also drank for his seven years in the marines and picked up smoking. he stopped drinking when he married my grandmother, but his smoking escelated untill he was smoking two pack a day for nearly fourty-three years. however, he stopped smoking when hy youngest sister was born. that was ten years ago. he has no large intestine, two chambers of his heaart dont work, and he just rammed a rusty screwdriver six inches in his hand. i was thionking that he wouldn't live past 2007, but i was wondering weather he would live any longer. please help, i love my grandfather and i want to spend as much time as i can with him. but i want to know how long that would be.

My daughter has been critically ill - struck down with Guillain-barre syndrome on 20th October. She was totally paralysed, only able to blink, and on a ventilator until today. She still is being fed through an NG tube and cannot move her legs at all but has some movement in her arms. Thank god she can talk to us at last! I was just wondering how long it took others with the syndrome to be able to walk unaided again.

i had gastritis ,,,after comming home from wales on holiday i couldnt sleep the night we got home...i had absalutly terrible pains in my upper stumcoh and they gave me medication..and it worked ..it cured ion a bout a wek..now when i have hot dinner now..it hurts a little in the same pace is this the damage in my stumoch i got from it or is it something else

my child has been havung pains by her belly button which can spread either side she was diagnosed with ibs then a couple of months later a kidney infection she has still been getting pains and now has blood in her stools every time she goes through back passage it is not piles or hemmoroids she has now been referred to the hospital serious answers please as am worried and wondered if any one has had these symptoms thanks

someone that i know has been told they have liver diease and they are not dealing with this very well, they have a teenager and her life's partner. Also alot of pain from arthristis and pain in the legs as well, wanting to know what can be taken for pain that won't damage the liver anymore.

Occasionally I twitch for apparent reason. It isn't just when I'm tired or stressed, just whenever. I've been to a neurologist (and he seems like a quack) who said he didn't see anything wrong with me. I've been through EEG's and MRI's and they didn't find anything to be concerned about, I don't have Tourette's. They aren't just small movements either, they are violent and sometimes painful but not long enough to be a seizure. Nobody seems to know why they keep happening. I've had them for almost 3 yrs. now and I was just wondering if anyone might know what it could be. I was taking medication (Trileptal, an epilepsy medicine) for about 1 yr. but it didn't help and it made me feel like crap so I quite taking it. That is always the way doctors work. Do they not realize that "I don't know" isn't the answer I'm looking for? Any help would be appreciated. Please don't just give answers like "I don't know" just to get 2 points. It is a serious question, please try to give serious answers.

ive had a very bad cough, trouble breathing, feavers, night sweats, decrease in vision and lots of aches and pains
i was told i was pneumonia, but ive been on medicine for so long and ive gotten xrays and they dont know whats wrong
im supposed to also get a blood test, but my insurance wont cover it, or something like that

I have taken 4 ekg's and the doctors have found nothing. My heart beats fast when i wake up and then i take a toporol pill which is a beta blocker and then when i eat it beats fast again and a couple hours later it will calm down again. When my heart is beating fast i have shortness of breath. Any ideas of what this may be? It is very scary when your heart beats this fast. Around 200 beats a minute.

When I wake, I'm ok.. then for a few hours, my body feel tensed like being nervous..then my muscles get tight propagating to my neck and head. What do you think is the cause? My blood tests were ok except for high cholesterol. I've been taking Lipitor. Please help. Thanks

My dad is paraplegic. He is a T3-T5 paraplegic and has been since he was 16. I have always wondered if it is possible for him to have kids. My mom and him had two of us. But, when i was born he denied me because he didn't think he could have kids. So, in the back of my mind all these years i have wondered if i am really his or not. Is it possible? We have a really good relationship now... and it won't matter to me either way... but, there is always that question in the back of my mind. I hate feeling this way. Thanks in advance.

Also, my mom has always maintained that we are both his. That we were miracle kids.

Hey, my eyelid was swollen when i woke up, not really bad, but you can definately notice it. It was a little swollen yesterday and kind of hurt when i touched it. Now it's just getting bigger. But I'm calling my doctor later today, but i was wondering if you guys had any ideas about what it might be. But especially if you have any tips to make the swelling go down. Thanks!
