Definately can be related. It sounds like he burst a blood vessel in his eye.

Might want to check with the Dr. on this. to make sure it isn't getting worse, and to check his blood pressure.

He could have a small blood vessel dilated or broken in his eye. High blood pressure can cause this. It isn't usually harmful, and usually goes away in a few weeks. If it lasts longer or he starts having pain or vision problems he should see a Dr. There are one or two rare causes that shouldn't be ignored and require medical attention.

Hi there !
Any red dot anywhere in the eye in NOT normal...
It could be due to so many factors like " lack of sleep, high Blood pressure, high ocular pressure etc etc..
If I had been in your place, I would not have wasted my time in this column, but I would have cinsulted a GOOD ophthalmologist immediately, as EYES are very precious...dont you agree ...?
best wishes.....

yes it could be related, a red dot like that is a burst blood vessel in the eye, it could mean his blood pressure is WAY up, get him to go see a doctor and get it checked out.
