A male patient, 6 years old complains of multiple spontaneous ecchymoses all over the body but more in the lower limbs with insidious onset and progressive course. They first appeared about 5 months ago with progressive pallor and anorexia. Faded without treatment (except antibiotics!!) then recurred again with the same distribution.
No fever, jaundice, petechial hemorrhage or bleeding per mucous membrane. Normal stool and urine color. Average anthropometric measurements. No hepatosplenomegaly or lymphadenopathy. No bone tenderness or joint swelling.
What's your provisional differential diagnosis?

We just came back from a 4d/3n vacation in Jenner, CA.
Upon arriving at the vacation rental home, we were shocked to learnt that 6 cats live in the property (without prior disclosure). After having the cleaner come and re-changed all our bedsheet out due to excess traces of cat hair and dirt (or possibly dots of ticks), we finally decide to settle in to save trouble even though some of us are allergic to cat. The next morning, we realized a very small red dot perfectly flat on my baby forehead, we tried to softly remove it but failed, so we thought it was a small scratch caused by her own fingernail. As days passes, my wife noticed that tht dot was growing a little in size, but being city boy n girl we were ignorant to suspect otherwise. It wasn't until this morning, 6 days later, that we saw legs on the enlarged blood sucking creature sitting up, immediately we removed it and become very concern of possible parasite infection. Can anyone please tell us what we should do?

What was typically the frequency with which you got migraine headaches? If you are using or used Atacand, how long have you used it? Was it successful? At what dose did you get a good preventative effect? What side effects did it cause for you? What if you had low blood pressure to start with?

I've just recovered from a sinus infection, and had been getting severe headaches on the bck, right hand side of my head.. But now the headaches have phased out, and i'm getting strange symptoms like dizzyness, nausea, strange browny type mucus in stools, needing to go frequently.. Anyone have any ideas? I haven't taken any anti biotics because they cause me severe thrush. Thank you.

Doctors here in U.K. mention it is normal for a baby to have this kind of cold throughout it's first winter. It's not very comforting, though. Would like to know any home remedies that we can take to boost his resistance to cold. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Hi all,
my nephew, 4 years old, had an accident and the detachment of the retina (retinal detachment). Here in Italy doctors say that his eye is in bad conditions and they are that it's very difficult that he will be able to see again from his eye.
Even if Italian doctors are very good my brother in law would like to contact the best eye surgeon in the world, if it exists,or the best hospital specialized in this kind of operations before accepting his little son has lost his eye.
Who would you recommend to contact?
Thanks in advance for you asnwers...

* I know this may sound humerous to some, but please do not waste my time (or yours) making immature jokes *. . . I have to use the bathroom several times per day-we are talking 3, 4, sometimes up to 6 or 7 times PER DAY! . . .Could this be dangerous?. . . Or an indication of another problem?. . . Does anyone with a healthcare background or medical knowlege know how this may affect my health. Just to be clear, this is NOT diahrrea; the stool is normal consistency. My Mom says it's good (indicates fast metabolism, doesn't allow possible carcinogens to linger, etc), but I'm still a little worried because, while normal for ME, this seems very abnormal compared to most people.
