would gallbladder pain stay consistantly dull, and then get severe for 1-3 minutes? The pain is just behind & under my right rib.I have been getting these pains for about a week now.Sometimes it feels as if something is exploding and it hurts terribly to breathe. It is usually followed with nausea. I may have been feverish a time or two also.

pain still stays at a constant dull and increases at least twice a day like an attack of somekind. this is NOT gas....
However,I haven't had a fever in a couple days.Possibilities:gallbladder,pancreas, and/or kidney stone...your opinions???
Doc won't be in until next week so i am playing the guessing game until he is back or a trip to the E.R. is required.
Thank You Everyone for your thoughts!!!!

Please do not delay getting seen by a doctor, even if it requires a trip to the ER. I had never had a gall bladder attack in my life, until Thanksgiving evening.

I thought I had food poisoning from bad pumpkin pie, and tried to tough it out with antacids and lots of water. After getting no relief for 12 hours, I went into the ER.

Within the hour, I had been given a complete sonogram of my organs, and been given the diagnosis of inflammed gall bladder with large gall stones and blockage at the ducts.

The attack was so severe and the pain could not be controlled unless I was given injections of Fenalyn every hour.

I was in the OR within 7 hours of arriving at the hospital.

My gall bladder was three times the normal size, and was ready to burst.

I could have continued to be stubborn and just think it was food poisoning or gas, and I would have been dead by now.

Do not wait for your doctor to come back from where ever he/she is. You will need to be seen by someone who can give you a sonogram and get you into surgery quickly, if necessary. Best bet......ER. I had a great surgeon on duty that day at the hospital and I was truly blessed that she was able to be forceful enough to get me cuts in line for the OR as my condition worsened.

You also lose you appetite, you can't walk the pain is so bad. I had to have surgery, I was lucky they caught it before it burst. I could have died.
I am not a doctor person, but I can't stand pain like that either. So I went and was very glad I did. I was 34 then. I am now 69 and proud I used my head and went to a doctor, before I died at home..
I am not going to tell you to see a Dr. I am going to let you make your your decision....

I would do a complete cleanse BEFORE going to see the doc. He will recommend surgery, or a load of drugs, which will not cure the problem.
The list below provides a variety of ansers which will sove the problem without and#y painful surgery, or unneccsary mind-dulling drugs.
