is this normal or are my ear holes connected to my mouth somehow?

I need help!

Your mouth is in close proximity to your eardrums, yes. Also you DO have a tube that travels from your inner ear to your posterior pharynx (back of your throat) . It is perfectly normal to hear crunching, munching, slurping or whatever you do inside your mouth. lol

Your ears, nostril and throat are all related. the main in all probability reason is a build-up of earwax. attempt ear drops or bypass get your ears syringed to rule it out. If this would not artwork bypass docs and ask them.

All (well most of it!) said so far is right, but you might have a bit of wax or even a minor infection which is causing the noise to be amplified in your ears.

they are linked but thats not why you hear noises. i have the same problem some times. it caused by excess fluid in your ear or it could be fluid behind your ear drum and this is called glue ear. for more info www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/23068746 this is a good site
