That's interesting ,
when i was first diagnosed withe diabetes .
i was given glucophage and i started vomiting a great deal.
I was told it was chronic gastritis , stemming from the diabetes , and required no treatment .

a few weeks later, i got very poorly, and they put me on insulin and i stopped having the glucophage .
and i also, stopped vomiting, around the same time .

My doctor said it was the insulin ,that was making me feel better .

Now i wonder, whether the glucophage, may in fact have been poisoning me .

I do not want to alarm you , it may just be my personal reaction, to the glucophage .

This is just my experience , not scientifically based .

Discuss your problem ,with your Doctor or Diabetic Nurse Specialist .

Do let me know how you get on

I hope you feel better much soon

Nausea, yes actual vomiting no.My doc said to begin taking half a tablet at each dosage time and then increase it to the final dosage. He also said I could start with 1/4 tablet if it bothered me and work up to final dosage. I've been on it almost 3 years now and I just got some more bloodwork done, hoping I can get off of it now. The only thing I really hate about it is not being able to lose weight while taking it.
