I think they're both about equally harmful.

Well, until they make a cigarette that puts you on a 24 hr bender and makes you neglect everything else in your life, I will say meth is more harmful. I figured it takes speed 5-10 years to kill you (maybe less) while cigarettes usually take at least 20 years to kill you.
Both will negatively affect your health almost right away.
Yes, cigarettes cause cancer. Lung cancer, esophogeal cancer and sometimes mouth cancer, which is what I specialize in.
If you think you can smoke and just just die a little early, go look up "squamous cell carcinoma" on the web and find pictures of these lesions that grow under your tongue. If they get to big, you may have to have your jaw cut up, your tongue cut out and lose all yoru teeth.
I'm not making this up; I saw a patient last year who'd had that. No tongue. We had to confirm all his appts by email. Also he had a tracheotomy hole in his neck and they'd had to rip out some of his pectoral muscles (in his chest) to reconstruct his neck and jaw muscles. pretty interesting, tho' no much fun for him.
Go look on the Discovery channel website - they have a special they're running this month on Meth abuse; it's got some gross but (i think) cool sequences of dentists pulling teeth on prisoners who used meth for a while. fascinating.

Both. meth causes the body to look more aged extremely quickly, while cigarettes tend to cause cancers and dry the skin up and cause older looks too, though not as quickly as meth.

both are harmful, meth is the hardest drug to recover from, and cigs cause cancer.....my grandfather died of lung cancer and if you inhale too much second hand smoke you can get sists in your throat......meth is the most harmful drug out on the market. so please don't do either.
