swollen. This is destroying my social life. Let me explain: When I am dry (not retaining water) my face looks chiseled and handsome. But when I retain water, my face swells up like a chipmunk and loses its definition and attractiveness. When I am dry women are always smiling at me, saying "hello" and asking me for directions. When I get bloated, the reaction is completely different. You would think they are looking at a COMPLETELY different person. Suddenly, I become invisible to women of all ages. What were previously smiles, are now frowns. In short I get treated like a leftover- a second- class citizen. Have you ever heard of this problem (explaining this to people is like trying to explain to a person from the middle ages that the world is round)? And is there anything I can do to cure or treat this nasty water retention?

This has been a growing problem for me lately- between the hours of 1:30 and 3, pretty much every day, I become completely exhausted. I can actually feel the eyes rolling in the back of my head sometimes, and I have a very difficult time conversing with anyone at work. Then, magically, out of nowhere, I'm fine again. Anyone have any ideas? I take a bunch of medication, but none I know of have drowsiness symptoms. Thanks!

Does any one have breath that smells just like poop? I am not talking about bad breath like onions or garlic. This really smells like a bowel movement. What causes it? What can fix it? This person doesn't drink or smoke and has had this for years.
They stay away from people as much as possible and people call them stuck up. This person is the nicest friend I have but even I get nausea being close to them. This isn't everday just comes ands goes but the smell is terrible. I have heard people remark--Who stepped in poop? This makes my friend cry. PLEASE HELP!!!! This person brushes, flosses, goes to dentist regularly.

about a year ago i was diagnosed with graves disease, which is a thyroid disease, and i was treated for it about 6 months ago by having my thyroid killed off with a radioactive iodine pill, and now i've been taking thyroid hormone replacement medication for about 6 months now. i was wondering what kind of effect thyroid diseases have on your weight. in about 2 years, i've gained 20 lbs (my lifestyle and diet have changed slightly, but not much), and i've been dieting and exersicing for 5 months now, but have only managed to lose 10 lbs. i lost that 10 lbs in the first 3 months, and since then, i havent lost any weight. i was wondering if this was due in part to my thyroid disease. please let me know what you think!!! i need some advice about trying to loose weight while still having a thyroid (metabolism) disease.

Cerebrospinal fluid revealed a white blood cell count of 75mm cubed with 72% neutrophils, 8% lymphocytes, and 20% monocytes. The glucose level and protein level was normal. A Gram stain was negative for bacteria. Cerebrospinal fluid viral culture proved positive for an enterovirus.

I have had cold sores since I was young, but they always seem to happen around this time of year, especially since I am in college and stressed now...I know it's not really stress-related, as that's an old wives tale, but why does a cold sore come back? Why does it lie dormant some years?
