Swollen eye?

Hey, my eyelid was swollen when i woke up, not really bad, but you can definately notice it. It was a little swollen yesterday and kind of hurt when i touched it. Now it's just getting bigger. But I'm calling my doctor later today, but i was wondering if you guys had any ideas about what it might be. But especially if you have any tips to make the swelling go down. Thanks!

Thanks for the ideas guys. But, any ideas how to take down the swelling? I'll probably try the ice. I know it isn't pink eye though...I definately know what that looks like, i work with kids...enough said :)

Could be a stye.

It could be a stye or pink eye. Make sure you wash your hands after you touch your eye to avoid spreading infection until you know definitely what it is from your doctor.

Sounds like conjuctivitus to me. Make sure you wash your hands constantly! I had it in both eyes at once before. That was awful. Anyway, your doctor will probably give you a prescription that will clear it up.

Yep, sounds like pinkeye, also known as conjunctivitus. It's easier to treat if you catch it early. Wash hands frequently, keep them away from your face, and keep that Doctor's appointment. It won't go away by itself. If you use eye makeup, don't use it during treatment. You may have to toss it all and get new anyway.

You should probibly put some ice on it and just rest. Don't toutch it that much and be very careful.
