Gastritis can come and go for several months. My son has it last year for about 4 months or so. The best thing that worked for him is mylantia. Take the right dose for you a few minutes before you eat. EVERYTIME!! the Mylantia helps coat the stomach so when you eat there is less irritation. If it keep being very painful your doctor can give you something to calm the acids down like prevacid or what ever, or you can buy a OTC type to try. Be patient it will pass it just takes time. The stomach is a hard place to get rid of a infection of any kind.

I've been writing on nutrition and health for 30 years. Your gastritis may have been caused by gut dysbiosis. See on my web site:- http://www.foodforthought.org.uk/what_happened_5.htm - garlic and acidophilus will help to get rid of the harmful gut bacteria - and restore the friendly gut bacteria. Take these supplements at opposite ends of the day - and keep them up - they are an excellent way to prevent future health problems

You may need to go back to the doctor to get that checked out. Maybe you need an antibiotic to clear it up. Only the doctor can help you.

If you are going to give us a thumbs down for suggesting going to the doctor, don`t ask.

Seriously go to the doctor in case it is something like an ulcer or underlying bug. Check out NHS direct website too. don't let it linger on!!!!!

You really need to check that out with a doctor....if the doctor you currently go to says its nothing go to another one becuase you make that sound pretty serious.. ask about your appendix...there might be inflammation going on there
