I am 21, female, 5'6 and 121 lbs, I don't drink or smoke and I don't have other unhealthy habits except always staying up late studying. I have been feeling very thirsty lately although I drink a lot of water, I don't have a good appetite either... it is unlikely that I have diabetes... I heard that brain tumors will get people thirsty too, so I am very worried. I am always a healthy person.

i discovered i have 13 degrees of scoliosis last year...i originally went to the doctor b/c i have had pain in my lower back if i'm on my feet a lot or not sitting comfortably. but also, if i'm on my feet for more than an hour or so, my left hand starts to go numb and my left shoulder has this pain that doesn't seem to be in the shoulderblade bone. could it be a pinched nerve due to my scoliosis?? what do you do about a pinched nerve?

I am not even worried or afraid of anything and my head will get light and I feel "detached". I was thinking hypoglycemia, but it only happens at night and usually after everyone else in the house has gone to bed. Any ideas?

This is mainly directed to the person that responded to my previous question about Daytrana, but it also serves as info for others as well. First, my 7 year old son does not own or play any video games. He plays football and shows livestock in competition. We don't have time for video games... if the sun's shining, we're outside. Secondly, the issues I'm having with my son are related to his ATTENTION DEFICIT. He CANNOT retain anything you say if you've been talking longer than 5 minutes. We can go over how to spell the words "about", "start" and "there" and by the time we finish learning how to spell "there" he has forgotten how to spell "about". There are also MANY other problems associated with AD/HD that aren't understood by "laymen". And we eat VERY heathily, mainly from our own garden and farm, so there's no preservatives, dyes or other "poisons" in our food unless you consider pasture-fed beef or organically grown cabbage "poison". We are giving him a future now.

Ruptured appendix when I was 10. Was hospitialized for weeks - almost didn't make it. Numerous health problems since with the onset of heart problems at 12. Too much to get into, but I'd like to know if anybody else has had continuous health problems after the rupture of an appendix. Specifically, it was ruptured for what I believe was about 48 hours before medical attention was sought - the infection is what almost killed me and kept me in the hospital for so long. Now I have many health problems even today and I'm now 30. For my own peace of mind, I'm just trying to find a link to all of this madness. Any insight would be appreciated.

For approximately seven years I've had continuous 'traces' of blood in the urine, however, it has now escalated (in the past several months) to 'large amounts' of blood in the urine. I have a history of thyroid cancer (diagnosed in 95 at the age of 19) with the last recurrence and treatment in May of 2000. I've had numerous health problems including several benign tumors throughout my body. Had a workup 3 yrs ago with a Urologist - bladder looked good - I didn't want any further testing. Now going back to Urologist and he has ordered a CT Scan and Cytoscopy (SP??) to check for stones, cancer, etc. Said if negative would refer me to a Nephrologist for evaluation of kidney disease. Noticed lately I'm feeling bad - weak, dizzy, hands trembling, chest pain, abdominal pain, back pain, very odd severe shooting pains that feel deep in the trunk area. Can be a shooting pain from around the center of my back to rectum or in the front abdominal area to pelvic area. Very painful - feel faint upon
